Rahman wants Dam 999 to bring back the Oscars Earlier we have reported that three songs from Sohan Roy's Dam 999 have been shortlisted in the Original Song category for the 84th Academy awards. 'Dakkanaga Dugu Dugu', 'Dam 999 Theme Song' and 'Mujhe Chhod Ke' are among the 39 shortlisted songs for the prestigious Oscars and the final nominations will be announced on January 24, 2012. And now Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman wants Dam 999 to bring back the Oscars."It's very exciting and I want someone to join my league," he was quoted saying. Interestingly the film, released last month, was banned in Tamil Nadu for supposedly taking a pro-Kerala stand in the Mullaperiyar dam row. A.R.
